There is no major difference.The new app we switched to is practically the same as the old one.

Cons

I'm disappointed with the lack of direct support from the company. Everything was fine until they "upgraded" to the "pro" version. I tried to create a new password since mine expired, but the system doesn't recognize my current one, which is necessary to make a new password. The new app also runs much slower compared to the old one. I don't understand why they even changed apps when they had the same setup before.

UKG Pro does everything you need, if you put in the effort.

Pros

UKG Pro is a cost effective HCM solution that offers a wide range of features and allows for customization. It doesn't require a dedicated engineer to administer, and with some creativity, you can do interesting things with it. The options for connecting with other systems and leveraging HR data are fantastic, providing plenty of choices for integration.

Cons

There are a few areas that I find lacking, particularly the user interface. The UI feels outdated and quite overwhelming, especially for someone like me who doesn't use it frequently. Another frustrating experience is when I get excited about implementing a new feature or module, only to discover serious limitations. For example, HR Service Delivery doesn't update the Core database, resulting in dual entry issues which is incredibly frustrating for me.

Great customer involvement and appreciation

Pros

The support and relationship management team at UKG are exceptional. Even when things aren't going perfectly, we always feel supported.

Cons

The only downside I have with UKG right now is the constant handoff from one representative to another in their support structure. While I appreciate all the representatives, the frequent changes can be a bit too much for my liking.

UKG Pro The Way to Go?

Pros

We decided to switch to UKG because they offered a more robust payroll and timekeeping system, especially with their UKG Workforce/Dimensions that provided the scheduling functionality we needed.

Cons

The basic functionality of the system is relatively easy to understand, but once you move beyond that, things become complex and require extensive training through UKG University or trial and error. Some of their documentation is outdated, and it's evident that certain parts of the system were developed quickly without proper quality control. For instance, there are fields that can only be accessed in the edit view, which is inconvenient. Support is helpful, but they can be slow for nonurgent matters. Additionally our smaller bank doesn't integrate well with UKG, causing some issues.

UKG for non profit

Pros

I appreciate the pending pay, payroll gateway, and Year end module in UKG.

Cons

The tax and payment services are unresponsive when it comes to some of our tax cases, resulting in significant penalties and interest for our organization.

The platform is user friendly, and it offers various modules to choose from.

Cons

The reporting capability is lacking and we always have to rely on someone to create custom BI reports every time we need them.

Fantastic Company & Software

Pros

Our company favors UKG Pro because it is a comprehensive product that handles everything from hiring and paying employees to goalsetting, reviews, learning opportunities, and more. Having all employee information in a single software is convenient.

Cons

It would be great if UKG Pro had a process in place to automatically update certain information on specific dates, such as allocations and local tax changes. We live in Indiana, where local taxes are withheld as of January 1st. However, when employees move to a different county and submit a new tax form, the request has to be held until the end of the year. We also have labor allocations that are only valid for a certain timeframe and require manual updates.

UKG Great Wholistic Product

Pros

The support is great, and the learning resources are free. UKG is very easy to use. They have modules for almost everything, and if they don't, integration is easy.

Cons

The integration of some addon modules, like People Doc, is poor and causes trouble.

UKG vs KMC

Pros

Among the many areas, the reporting in the BA System stands out as the best.

Cons

Some of our employees encounter issues when accessing their records, and it would be helpful if either UKG or KMC provided a step by step remedy.

UKG Pro Review

Pros

I appreciate the cost effectiveness, the range of modules, the integrations with other systems, the visual appeal, the ease of use, the security platform, the user interface experience, the global support and the overall organization provided by UKG.

Cons

At the time, we wanted to use their Ulti Time Mgmt for timesheets, but they were phasing out that module, so we had no choice but to switch to their Ulti Time and Attendance module. Besides that minor hiccup, there's nothing else I dislike about UKG Pro.
